Balloon Décor
I need a minimum of 2 weeks notice for balloon orders. In most cases I will be required to order in your requests. I may be able to supply your request with less notice if I have available stock of requested colours and items.
I require a minimum of 1.5 hours on site to complete your installation for basic framework and a 3m balloon garland.
For more complex installations and longer length balloon garlands more time will be required. The exact time frame required will be communicated with you based on what is included in your booking.
Due to the general nature of balloons, I cannot guarantee that your balloons will remain perfect and intact when used outdoors. It can be disappointing if you’ve got your heart set on an outside set up in an unprotected location, but it’s really not worth it.
The sun oxidises the balloons causing a matte appearance and combined with wind your balloons will be subject to pop! Where balloon décor installations occur outdoors, Colour Me will not replace nor offer a refund or discounts due to loss, breakage or failure to produce due to environmental factors.
Yes! Once they are set up for you, they’re all yours. If you’ve hired any other items, they will be picked up after your event has concluded. Please note that you are responsible for the teardown and disposal of the balloons into a bin post-event.
Air-filled designs will last for much longer than helium balloons and, under the right circumstances, they will last you for weeks! Double-stuffed balloons last longer because they don’t deflate as easily or quickly.
Yes, there is a travel fee to do a balloon garland installation. The travel fee is determined by the delivery location, access, and the dates and times of the event.
Given the organic nature of garlands, no two garlands can be made exactly the same. The colours and composition may be the same (or a close match), however, the shape or the end result will never be identical to your inspiration photo.
Exact colour matching will depend on the availability of the brand. If the colour in your photo is a custom colour (double stuffed), this will increase the price of your balloon garland.
If your event is at a venue or restaurant you must let your coordinator at the venue know that you have booked a balloon garland installation for your event.
The venue will need to know how long we will be on site to setup prior to your event start time and where you would like the installation to be setup. This will allow your
venue to ensure that the space is ready for us on arrival.
If you don’t let your venue know this info it is likely to cause a delay to our setup, which means we may not complete prior to your event start time.
Yes! Personalised vinyl decals can be added to balloons or onto an acrylic disc hire item.
If you have any invitation work created for the event feel free to share this and, where possible, similar fonts can be used. Logos may also be created.

To secure the date, a non-refundable $50 – $100 booking fee is payable by direct debit. Your booking fee will go towards the total amount due with the remaining balance due on or before the day of your event.
An undercover area safe from the elements is all that I require. A marquee can be hired if required.
If the party is outside, always have a plan ‘B” in case of bad weather, for example – under cover, a garage, hall or gazebo.
As a professional face painter, I have the skill and ability to adapt designs and move quickly through a line without compromising on quality or hygiene.
Designs are painted in 3 – 5 minutes.
Time taken per child is affected by;
– How long the child takes to get in and out of the chair
– Choosing a design
– Admiring themselves at the end
– Their ability to sit still or not
– Cleaning of brushes between children
EVENTS; When provided for free within a public event, I highly recommend having a volunteer, if available, to manage the line. This would involve keeping children behind the line and away from my working area, ensuring each face is clean and a design chosen before sitting down to be painted and also showing the end result in the mirror. Simply having a line manager can add many valuable minutes to my actual painting time increasing the number of children that I can paint per hour.
Face painting is often a great incentive to attract families to your event. It is always one of, if not the most, popular activities at any event for young children.
Perhaps your costs can be offset by sponsorship, incorporating it into the entry fee or by charging the public a small fee.
I practice good hygiene standards. For the health and safety of others, I will not paint dirty faces, people with visible sores or who appear to have something contagious. In addition, Colour Me has completed a course in COVID safety specific to the industry.
Face paint is not waterproof, therefore unsuitable if you have a pool or water play at your event. However we do offer glitter tattoos that are water resistant and may be more suitable. For teens and adults, airbrush tattoos are another option.
Colour me only uses professional grade face paints. They are non-toxic, hypo-allergenic and comply with US FDA and EU regulations. Colour Me runs a very low risk to reactions, however, please note that all cosmetics can on rare occasions cause allergic reactions.
Removal of facepaint – It is recommend to lather the dry paint with soap to emulsify the paint. Then remove using a water dampened cloth. Darker colour’s have a stronger pigment and may need olive oil and cotton wool to remove. Using wet wipes is not recommended.
Colour Me cannot paint children under 3yrs of age. It is not recommended and not covered by insurance.
